Looking to join a club

As above I'm looking to join a golf club over the next few weeks, I'm looking for somewhere central in Scotland! I stay in forth, south Lanarkshire so somewhere close to home is always handy for a quick outing!! Can anyone recommend a good club nearby? Don't want a club that's cliquey and doesn't make you feel welcome......

You're only about 6 miles from either Carnwath GC or Greenburn GC (Fauldhouse).. both nice little tracks, and very friendly.

We've just stolen Carnwath's pro though, so there could be a few changes there. I've a few mates who are members at Greenburn and whispers on the grapevine are that they could really do with some new blood, as they're struggling a bit.

I've had a look at both of them and was pretty undecided on them both, I've heard fauldhouse have been having some money issues recently and wouldn't like to take a chance on losing my £££ like more than a few people had when mouse valley / kames went under
