I've was oncall last night and finished about 9am this morning. Long and tiring 24 hours and i was glad to get into my car. On the way home i took a detour via World of Golf at Clydebank for nothing more than a look round the AG store. Cut a long (and boring) story short, i walked out with the new Taylor Made FCT Rescue with a superb Aldila RIP shaft...after hitting just 5 balls with it taped up! This is a beautiful club, great shaft and it goes a mile. Was initially sceptical about the white finish but it looks great behind the ball. After buying it, went back to the range to hit balls without the tape...what a difference, it was even better! I really hope this feeling of confidence with it doesn't wear off and it becomes a white elephant...sorry, i'll get me coat!

Can't wait to get it out on the course this weekend! Full review to follow... :p

You got to much time on your hands mate

Steve, did you not read the bit about the 24 hour shift!!

Have a look at this Murph, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-zsVqoPAhM and try and not laugh at the cheesey muzak! A bit like golf club porn... :D :D

I did mate but many hours of that was spent on the net looking at shiney new clubs,i no how may i spent on my 12 hour night shift :D

Fugly. White and fugly. And adjustable. White, fugly, adjustable and made by TM. What colour is next months? My money is on green, to make the ball stand out.

I notice Titlesit do an adjustable hybrid now too. Why would anyone want to adjust a hybrid? They'll be doing adjustable irons next. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if TM already do this.

Hope it goes well. If it doesn't, people are going to laugh. Alot.

Deep breaths mate. ;)

Now that is a sexy looking club apart from the huge adjuster. Is it just 3 setting on it? so you can change it for the wind?

Taylor Made have a patent pending on an adjustable shaft flex but say they will not make it as they don’t make shafts. They just dont want anyone else to.

It's got 8 loft settings Alex. Can go up or down by 1 degree each way. Sounds tiny but made a huge difference to carry distance and ball flight.

Cheer up Murph, it's almost the weekend!! :D

I don't like it. The little paint job around the edges looks silly and I can't see the point in an adjustable hybrid. They usally only replace one club (3 or 4 iron) and so why would you want to make it play like a club you already carry and use

Got if for £135 dean, the alchy (stunk of booze) at AG gave me 15 off after a bit of haggling.

Homer, i can see your point about where it fits in the bag, however, my 3 iron (despite it having about the same carry distance) has a low penetrating flight with lots of roll-out. This hybrid gives a higher flight with less roll and i think (hope!) it will come in handy when the greens harden up during the summer. Also i play a load of different courses (26 last year alone) and the option of adjusting the loft MAY just come in handy...

What came out the bag to make room for the new stick.

I'm curious to try the club you bought, might have to see if the pro shop are getting any in.

I tried the R11 driver (I say tried... I held and had a little swoosh) and am dying to have a go. Have to see if the pro will allow me to try it as it was his brand new shiny thing and I could see he was keeping an eye on it! :)
