Longhirst Hall

I'm going to play there in september, 2 nights breakfast and evening meal and 3 rounds of golf and it was only about £150 i think.

Played it a fe times. The only tip I can give you is.... Take plenty of balls ;-)
We hav our away day there this year, in September. I'm paying about £115.00 for 2 rounds of golf, evening meal, bed and breakfast. That's a singal room, i think a twin is around 90 each for the same deal.

Snorkel & Flippers required!
Water everywere, nice place though clubhouse really nice, very relaxed its made for outings.
Last year when I took a group down im sure it was unbelievably cheap. Something like £35-£40 a head Bacon Rolls 18 holes and 2 course meal afterwards. That was playing the quite aptly named lakes course.
There's 2 courses so playing one in the morning & afternoon is
an option. You'd need a sh$t load of balls though!!! (Stableford recommended)

o yeah, not sure about accomodation if you were going with the lads Morpeth is 10-15mins away which is not bad for a night out.

Theres usually a few park benches around if youre really looking to slum it or camp bed with sleeping bag if youre a hard up pro. Nice gas stove for your hot water in the morning and you'll be away to the first tee in fine style.

Agreed about the water. Its everywhere. I dont think the course is too long but you have to play accurately. Dont just pull out the driver on every par 4 and 5.

There is nothing close by so you may have to look at staying in Morpeth. You can get to Newcastle in 30 mins too straight down the A1.

Enjoy

Neil as you have already seen it is Europro, but the tournament days are Wednesday through Friday if you do come along come over and say hi. Thanks for the link prices are a bit steep so will keep looking.

That's a shame, only heard about it today, and assumed it was on the weekend. At work but might try and take a half day to come along. Your best bet if you want cheap will be a B+B in Morpeth or, there is plenty, and it is a decent town with plenty eateries and bars etc. only 5 minutes drive to Longhirst.

I know you were joking, no worries :)

Good luck getting booked, and hope you do well. Not sure I'll make it along there but if I do will keep an eye out for you. Hopefully you will be teeing off late on day 3 ;)
