Completed 20 years of service with my company today, £200 in vouchers and a certificate. Need a new tv so that'll help.

Anyone else had anything decent?

All I got for achieving 10 years was a letter and five extra days off (they were added incrementally one every two years not all at once). Handy for booking more golf days though.

A Raymond Weil watch for 10 years service in 1996.
I've been thinking about putting it on Ebay to raise some funds to buy more classic golf clubs.

£200 after 5 years. £400 after 10 and £600 after 15. I left last year 1 month before I was due my £800 bonus. I used to lose some of it in tax anyway.

Medal and bar 🎖️
Military service also counts towards my civil service employment so went straight onto 30 days leave instead of 25 then 1 day extra for next 5
Got the medal 🎖️ still waiting on the bar to arrive. But it’s looking a very likely possibility at the moment that I could end up with a 2nd bar🤔

Though the civil service idea of immediate extra days is appealing!

Edit: though I may just tap out at 30 if I can’t see a reason to stay that bit extra just for a 2nd bar.

I never worked for one company long enough to get one.

At least my last company gave me a years salary as a redundancy payment which paid off the mortgage +

Think I got £100 when I hit 15yrs with my last employer...but I guess my long service 'award' was the Voluntary Exit Payment they offered (and I accepted) when I was getting on for 17yrs with them.

32 years in the same building. Staff had a whip round and raised £200, two companies that were involved gave me zilch. Unfortunately it was around the time of covid.

Well my £200 vouchers didn't even last the day. 65inch LG tv for the other sitting room will be installed on the wall on Friday.

38 years in local government - the last one was for 30 years with the same council. All I got was a round of applause when I finally retired.

Isn't every last penny of government spending accounted for so they can't do bonuses and gifts to staff etc? Massively rubbish after that length of service.
