London Golf Show 2015

I certainly do! I distribute Kenny Giannini putters, you may not have heard of them but you have almost certainly come into contact with a Kenny Giannini putter at some point. I'd be more than happy to talk putters if you're interested?

Thanks Simon, but no matter how nice the Giannini putters are, unless you are thinking of offering a 50-70% discount, then these are slightly out of my price range! Nick
:D

Well we're offering a 10% discount during the show weekend which means the entire range starts from £219. The biggest question is what price would you put on making more putts? ; )

I went last year and it was poor IMHO. The 5 free rounds of golf does make it more appealing though this year. It's only 40 mins from me and the Mrs can go shopping and it'll cost me lunch but I might go again. As long as free round don't have too many restrictions.

EDIT: Just seen that the golf is sponsored by Pentland. Therefore unless you're in Kent it might not be worth it. They run, Etchinghill, Boughton, Pedham Place and poss still Lydd. They are all P&P course of mediocre standard. The free golf would be for me as all the course are local but if you'll be traveling any distance it prob it isn't.

Pentland only have Etchinghill and Boughton now. They used to have Austin Lodge but not anymore.

I'm certain Pedham Place is Pentland managed in some way. They have Benn Barham who teaches at Pedham teaching at the show and he also has links to Pentland.

Yeah tried the G6 flow neck at Manchester 2014, and got a mate of mine in California to order one which Tim Mooney saw to personally as it was a tight deadline for it to come back to UK with his parents. I had 3 goes with it and loved it, my Scotty California Del Mar got booted into touch and I won't go back to Scottys anymore. Since Scotty C learned from Kenny G.

I am pretty sure that Rick and Pete are going to be there. I know a few people have booked lessons with them and the London Golf Show is still doing a promo giveaway with lessons as prizes as well (okay, I stand corrected ... they were yesterday... every mention of it seems to be gone from the page now .. that's odd).

I've seen quotes direct from Rick & Peter on there way to the London Golf Show on Twitter so they are attending

Are GM still associated with them? I seem to remember one year there was a thing in the mag, I assumed GM sponsored it?

not a sponsor but a media partner.

Pete and Rick are running our coaching area as they did at manchester in April

Tanks for the heads up been off sick for a week and this was to be my first day up and about at the show tomorrow but will clean my clubs instead!

i work in Wintersports and we have the EXACT same issue - a show that doesn't meet what the visitors want, full of holiday companies and resorts

it can be done right, it just requires support from the brands and more realistic expectations of profitability. The bicycle show did it a few years ago after years off awful shows

I attended today with a group of lads, i also took my six year old boy, he loves a bit of crazy golf. the kids zone was OK, a quick bit of putting followed by a chipping lesson and rewarded with a cap, so big thanks to the golphin for kids team, they did a great job.

queues were long, managed to get to longest drive etc, but the stands i felt were really poor, wanted to buy some clothing etc but there really wasnt much on offer, even the unknown jap brands of gloves and balls were way over priced. cant see me going again tbh

It's a shame really, this should be something we all look foward to attending.
But can't see me ever making the trip,as it sounds pants.

Last year it was very difficult to hit any balls on the various ranges, a couple of decent pro lessons to watch and then loads of holiday companies and some golf courses. Not an hours worth of time

Perhaps they should learn from things like food/drink shows. As whilst I do not frequent these much, every time I get dragged to one there's usually lots of food/drink to try out, lot's of demonstrations on how to cook it and loads of good stuff you can buy. The Melton Mowbray Artisal Cheese Fair is legendary, a great day out!
