Little bit of PC help

Most probably very simple to fix, but I'm a numpty!
I use Chrome as my web browser, and am on Windows 8.1.
When I single click on the Chrome shortcut (on my taskbar) to open up my homepage, I am getting two windows open simultaneously.
One is my normal Google home page, the other is a "bing" page.
It's simple to close the bing page down but I wondered if there is something I can do to stop both pages opening up when I click the chrome icon?

Its something in your tools or settings. An add on thingamy or default browser wotsit.
Disable everything in the warp core and that will sort it.

click on the menu (right hand side of screen, 3 black lines) then Settings.
