Hi
thinking of booking little Aston for a midweek round next week.

Never played it before is it as good as it is made out to be? Has anybody played it recently and know if it’s dryish or what condition is like?

Thanks

Don’t know about current condition, but it’s a lovely track

I have a day off Wednesday and me and my dad want to play somewhere on the top 100 list. Looking at little Aston but then thought about notts gc although that is saying winter greens. Or maybe Sherwood Forest.

Where would you guys go?

Parts of Little Aston will be wet, particularly the far end of the course.

Would usually recommend it in a heartbeat but probably not at the moment.

Beau Desert is not very far away and is likely to have stood up better to the recent weather.

Great track and much more welcoming for visitors these days.

Personally wouldn't play it at this time of the year as it will be a bit wet (imagine the Brab is the same) personally I'd opt for one of the sandy heathland courses mentioned (Notts, Beau, Sherwood).
