OK, not going to do them all but I'll start the ball rolling ..

Ball out of bounds - only 1 shot penalty
Ball lost - only one shot penalty
Ball unplayable - only 1 shot penalty
Hitting ball twice - no penalty

I'm guessing Alex might be confusing the 'distance' element of 'stroke & distance' with a penalty - as can't think why he'd otherwise think of it as 2 strokes.

Edit: Hmm.... two separate posts, in two threads, from new poster, both recommending "consult a golf instructor" ??

Yes, I noticed that. Not necessarily a good idea; consulting a qualified referee is much more likely to provide the correct answer!

• Accidentally touching the line of putt or the putting green

I think these two were adjusted in the 2019 addition of the rules.

Welcome though Alex. If someone has told you these at your club I’d suggest they recycle their old rule book and get a more up to date one. Always good to stick you neck out though and be corrected for the good of your own game.
