Lion hunters

It should also be noted that due to the fact that Cecil was Head of the Pride, the next dominant male will attempt to kill all the previous Heads cubs.. All 24 of them..

Something to tell the grandkids about there.."Hey, can you see that picture in that book of extinct animals? I killed one of those myself.. I paid someone else to do all the work, tricked and trapped it, then but an arrow through its heart from a totally safe distance.. Oh, and I ensured that another 24 were killed shortly after.."

I'm kinda with rooter on this.
His actions were vandalism, but he is by no means the only person at fault and yet it's him getting the blame.

Not so much on here, but on Facebook it screams of jealousy. The stupid rich man is blamed whisky those who helped and obviously knew better are the poor victims desperate for money to feed their families........

also agree that if people are so up in arms about a lion. Why not all the other animals that are treated just as badly.

Closig thought, he is scum, but so were all involved.

Also been pictured with his other kills - a rhino and leopard !

I can't really say how I feel about him as will get an infraction but I have a feeling that I hope one day the animal kingdom gets their revenge on him

Unbelievable that 600 lions are legally killed each year for trophies, and I would assume many more are killed by farmers protecting livestock and others killed illegally.
 
Ok, I've thought quite a bit about this now, and there is something I really don't understand.. If your only desire is to "hunt" a large predator (or any other large or small animal) for sport and not food, then why don't you shoot the animal with a paint gun or a low velocity rubber bullet. You've proven yourself as a hunter, you've enjoyed the chase, now let the animal live for someone else to hunt..

It appears to me that the desire is not to hunt, it is to kill. Your actual desire is to kill something, and in my eyes that makes you a monster.

I'll tell you what. you go into the jungle and shoot a lion in the ass with a rubber bullet. I'll be waiting inside the locked jeep :D

Apparently you can go and shoot big game with tranquiliser darts. they get checked by vets and released.



Again, its the kill they are after. Not the hunt. sick.


All game hunting is IMO. At least eat the thing and make sure it isn't on the endangered list.

It's a fair point :D.. I suspect the lion would scarper rather than attack, but bearing in mind the fact that the Dentist (an ironic profession I suppose) only wounded the animal with his first arrow, then I struggle to see what would have changed..
 
It's crazy the amount of net time this is getting. Huge amounts of people all getting together to stand up against the guy. Thee biggest online petition I've ever seen people sign calling for the guys head on a stick. Power to the people eh?

The Gov continually squeeze the life out of folks finances budget after budget and no one says a thing about it lol

I've also noticed the crazy amout of vegetarians all jumping on the bandwaggon discrediting anyone who shouts out about it. Ah the internet, a place where you're allowed to be offended by anything you like lol

Trophy hunting brings in a huge amount for these countries and supposedly goes into conservation projects. I am skeptical about this though and think that the whole thing is pathetic. I am a shooter and the thought of killing something for the thrill of killing it is abhorrent.

I would like to wound this dentist with a bow and arrow myself. Same goes for any of the other tossers in his club.
