carrying on from the first lesson in a while post. i was wondering.

how many lessons have you had?
are you currently doing lessons now?
was there specific reasons to your lessons? i.e. slicing your drives

iv had 5 previously that someone bought me for a 21st birthday present. i havent done any since but im thinking on getting some soon. when i did mine i just went over the general aspects of the game.

ive had about 15 in my golfing lifetime lol I started with just general aspects but now focus on altering swing plains and more complicated stuff because of my slice and how to control the ball more etc.. Also have had some short game lessons that have helped a lot! Not having lessons at the min because ive got my year exams at uni! :(

I've had 5 or 6 in the last year and a half (since returning to golf properly)

I generally go for an MOT, after reconstructing my swing path, body positions, aiming etc in the 1st couple of lessons. We also do the odd bit of short game work & have had a 9 hole playing lesson.

I go for lessons to get rid of bad habits which may come in every few months and to confirm what is going well.

I generally have one every couple of weeks from April to end of May then one every four to six weeks through to October.
The ones at the start of the year are to get my game ready and the ones during the season are purely to keep the bad habits away.

I think everyone should have lessons, so that they know what they are practicing is helping their game. Practice does not make perfect it makes permanent.

None and don't have any intention of having any. I have no problems with people having lessons its just I prefer to work issues out myself, this way I take the credit for my game and no one else. My wife is having a lesson on the weekend because he is a total novice whereas I played for a year or so and self taught a lot.

Most people I have spoken to have a lesson then fall back into all habits within weeks or months then have to pay again to maintain the knowledge.

I have had quite a lot of lessons,20 maybe since Nov07 as i was getting stale learning myself

Having a professionals experience is fantastic,i enjoy hearing tales and learning how to play certain shots the main one being how to play in the wind

That one i could not learn to do myself

I've been working with my coach on and off for two years and we have remodelled my swing until it is repeatable if not textbook. I've just had four lessons since December (every 5-6 weeks) on the short game (pitching, putting, bunkers and chipping) which has helped especially the putting. My long game is a work in progress and once the season is over we are going to work on the overswing which causes my reverse pivot and more importantly and harder still, work on changing my way too quick tempo to something more manageable and controlled

I've only ever had a 30 minute free lesson when I first joined a club in '94.
Not had one since and I got down to 8 by myself - could I have gone lower with lessons? Probably but they ain't cheap!!

Hundreds!!!! I've been with my current pro nearly 2 years.

During the winter months i have a lesson once a week and we get quite intense with the mechanics, during the season (spring to autumn) i'll only have one a month and we don't get too technical just checking over the winter stuff really.
