How many times recently have I seen the advice.

Get a lesson from your pro.

Ok, sold.

So who is the best teaching pro within reasonable range of Eastbourne ?

I'll take facts, opinions, and blatant touting for business if there are any pros out there.

And approx waiting times, if poss. IE do I have to book up 4 weeks and 3 days in advance, or can I phone in the morning, and get a lesson in the afternoon ?

Cheers

I've never used him, but I hear the pro at Willingdon is quite good. I've met him before and he seems a really friendly guy.

When are you up for that game at Highwoods by the way?
;)

I'm desperate to get out there and play all these great courses.

But

I'm just finding my feet again after a slightly tricky year last year, and I haven't actually played a full 18 holes for. ooh approximately 10-12 years.

I restarted playing again last year with all good intent, and got a few 9 holes under my belt, before my brand new set of Benross clubs went walkies.

I've literally just got hold of some mega irons thanks to Jammydodger ( Thanks JD - they really, REALLY know who's boss, but WOW, are they great ) , which I've managed 1 range session, and I got 9 holes in last night.

I think it'll take me a tad longer than I'd hoped to get up to an accepable standard. My borrowed driver isn't onboard at all, and my swing is pants. My set up is, um, inconsistant, my swing path veers from pancake to Leaning Tower of Pizza. I'm not sure if I've got a reverse pivot, or not. Putting is a lottery, and as for chipping - tears mate, it caused me tears before bedtime, that's all I can say !! :(

Generally, it's not pretty.

Hence the request for Pros. I found the guy at Horam ( just a P&P 9 hole which is good for my practise ) is really good ( Giles is especially good with kids, if anyone has got a nipper just starting, and he helped me last year - he's good at saying things in different ways until something sinks in ), but he's a lazy bugger and won't work 24 hours a day, just to please me. And he's fully booked for the next 3 weeks.

But I need help NOW, goldarn it.

But as soon as I'm even remotely non embarrasing, I'll be up for it, don't you worry.

:D :D

I suggest you lay off the golf for a couple of weeks and then give up completely
;)

Borrocks.

I've given up for good three times in my life already. I'm not doing it again - even if I am forever to be known as 'He who is that fat useless bugger who should never be allowed to set foot on the hallowed turf again.'

Give me a good enough handicap, and I can be a contender, ma, honest.
