Had a lesson the other day and going away to work on the adjustments before next lesson - however it seems that I'm hitting the ball awful?

I keep saying is this because its a new swing? but it feels a bit like I am a beginner again!

I suppose its a step from my comfort zone and results may start to show with practise and a few more months into lessons??

Off to range tonight to try it out and see if it improves - surely people have had lessons and is this a usual feeling any advice?

It's hard to have faith if you cant see what changes are being made! Most pros should have a decent camera so you can see what's being changed, it really helps with feedback and you can see your progress. Make sure to stick with it though.

Been there come out the otherside and made single figures stick with it could be frustrating few weeks even months depending how much change your making.

am there at the mo, big change implemented with my hip turn finding it really hard to co-ordinate my body. was trying to practice it at the range but didnt really put enough practice in so on the course resorted back to old swing with dire results (see my other thread about yesterdays round)

I am now going to do a couple of weeks range time to try and get more confident with it as have another lesson 1st of november.

No point paying for advice/drills/help then ignoring it :)

It does take time to bed large scale changes in an inevitably it takes time to see the results. On course will be the hardest when you really want to play well and enjoyit but you are struggling. Keep doing what you've been shown and don't revert to old swings or habits. It'll only confuse you further.

Try and work on it slowly at the range and really rehearse the swing in slow motion without the ball and learn how it feels as your swing with the new changes. The slower the better. When you go to hit balls try and hit those in slow motion. Try to hit say a 6 iron no more than 100 yards and really feel the new swing working as you hit the ball. In reality it will go further primarily because even with a slow motion swing you are making optimum contact

I am going through lesons right now and i can safely say stick with them. My pro has changed my grip swing and stance and for maybe 2 weeks i couldnt hit a thing, but now im starting to trust the changes i can definitely see the reasons behind the changes and am quite optimistic about the future
