Last Medal of the year

Last medal of the year on Sunday for me. As usual sat here in a confident mood playing the round in my head.. should par that one...take a bogie on that etc.. trying to add up a score.

Good luck to all who are in comp this weekend not long left to try and get those HC down.

1st round of winter league, so its betterball stableford for me !

Played in the medal today. My course is only a par 62 and I was playing off 24 (23.6). I had my best round of 77 (net 53), so was 9 under my handicap. I'll get a cut, but no idea how it's worked out. Happy days.

Its our winners trophy and the rabbits trophy tomorrow,although judging by the weather forecast it might be called of.

My last medal is next Saturday, and I need to play in it to get my third score to retain my handicap...........yes I know, Im cutting it a bit fine, but having not played for years up until last season I look upon retaining my handicap (no matter what it turns finish up) as a natural progression.

So next year I hope to get down from my 20

Weather looks dreadful tomorrow though. High winds and rain, not the best of conditions to wish the season adieu is it?

Looking more and more likely to be weekend only rounds from now on. The nights are drawing in rapidly and it's definitely got colder these past couple of days.

Don't you just hate the onset of the colder months?

Playing my first comp at my new club on wednesday - only a stableford but hey - its a compy. Hope to play the last medal later in the month.

36 hole comp today which I shot 35 pts in the morning with 3 blobs on the card. Then posted a 1 under par gross 70 in the afternoon for 42 pts and the overall win.

Won through to represent English Fire service against the Scottish boys next September at Crail golf club.

Well chuffed and hopefully a nice big cut too..
