Hi Ladies & Gents,

I'm possibly planning a holiday to Las Colinas in May 2018 and wondered if any of you have played and/or stayed here before? Thoughts on the course challenge and condition would be welcome, as would thoughts on the accommodation.

I've noticed that quite a few GM instructional pieces have been shot here so I'd imagine the facilities are impressive.

Any advice on whether car hire is essential or you can get about just relying on taxis would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Didn't stay there but played the course and it's spectacular, one of the best courses I've played in Europe. Not a huge fan of the area though, much prefer the Malaga/Marbella end of the Spanish coast. It's busier, there's more going on and more golf courses to play. That end of Spain was a little run down and absolutely dead when we went. You'll need a car too, Las Colinas is fairly remote from what I remember.

Played it numerous times, haven't stayed. I'd say a car was essential, no idea of taxi costs but car gives you freedom.

Would also recommend Lo Romero if you haven't played it.

I stayed and played last year

Course was amazing, we were looked after great. Hired all our clubs, stayed in a nice apartment.

We took a taxi from the airport and it was about 120 Euros each way. We all wanted to drink in the airport and on the plane so decided to taxi instead of hire car.

Las Collins’s provided us with buggy’s for our whole stay so we could use them to drive around the resort, which was massive.

Played there year before last, and am playing there in April. A fantastic course. We were treated like Kings, given an engraved bag tag with our name on, free range balls which were all stacked in a pyramid like you see on tele. Beautiful course. Can't wait for April! We're staying at another course, so we're hiring a car, Las Colinas is a fair journey to / from anywhere else!
