Ai Miyazato has won the Ladies European Tour money list with winnings she earned in a single event - the Evian Masters. Since there's no rule about having to play a minimum number of events, she only played in 2: the Evian and the Women's British Open. The Evian Masters is co-sanctioned by the LPGA and the prize money it offers dwarfs everything else on the LET so players who played only in Europe and won multiple events still lose out to the winner of this one tournament. Hardly seems fair.

It's wumens golf,who cares?

Can anyone name the top 3 in the world without using google?

No,thought not.

Yes doesn't seem fair does it, but until they re-assess how the winner is calculated its always going to happen.

It certainly devalues the annual money winner but not the individual events.

They should use a points system similar to F1

Come on Amanda - a cyber knee in the groin would be more fun!

Chris

True but some are beyond redemption or should that be education??

Anyway, must be off to hack my way around the course, taking about 5 hours at least, wandering off down the fairway chatting to my pals even though my ball is on the other side, checking my make-up in the reflection of all the ponds I duff my ball into whilst totally ignoring the hoards of superb male golfers held up behind me

Will you call the Captain through?

Have a great day

Chris

Watch out for my mate Gene Fulton on the Ladies tour next year, brand new wagon stuffed full of goodies for all the Lady Pros, it looks the business with a lounge and 3 flat screen TVs and game consoles, they wont bother playing golf if the weather turns ropey... Like today in Newquay...;0(

it is a farce and i hope they are kicking up feck about it......

i love the watching womans golf, and take a interest because a friend of mine will be trying to gain her card next year and has played a few events.also carly booth is from just down the road so i supposrt her aswell.

Yes, it is farcical, but then so are many other money making rules in sport, (Rugby Union champions, F1 ruling favouritism etc.). The answer I think is to raise the profile and awards to bring parity across the events.

And I'll rise to the bait on behalf of Amanda.

What an idiotic comment and no I can't name the top 3 without using Google, but I probably could if they got the media coverage that they deserve. Now step back into your cave and shut the door.

Top 3....
Christie kerr
Su ri pak
Suzanne Peterson
Prob no where near but least I didn't use Google lol.

I think you are close but Im sure Yeni Tsang is number 1.

My top 3 are Natalie Gulbis, Natalie Gulbis and Natalie Gulbis.

Womens golf does deserve more coverage, I watched a bit of the womens british open and followed the solheim cup quite closely and the standard of golf in both was superb. Obviously the women lack a bit of distance off the tee compared to the men but their short games are second to none, if nothing else we should be able to watch all the women's majors as it has to be more interesting than some of the mens tournaments that are simply there to fill a gap in the schedule

Are you kidding? Some of the golf at the Solheim cup was simply horrific to watch. Best players in the world? HOw many shanks, fats and duffs needs to be in a tournament?
