killer Instinct

At the minute I'm probably in the latter, this mindset most likely cost me a cut last night as when I thought about my round I had 5/6 good birdie chance and didn't take any.

Hit 11 GIR which is unheard of for me but had 38 putts, disappointing.

I'll tell you when I finally hit a green in regulation!

Ba-dum-tish!!

I'm in the 15ft got a real birdie chance school too, much further then I'll have a 'controlled' go, hopefully not being so gung-ho as to leave it knee-knocker length for the par.

So.......you all play on courses with flat greens then?

I've played many courses where getting down in 2 from 10 feet can be an achievement.

I know your pain. 14 GIR last weekend, and 38 putts. The only birdie I got was a thinned chip to less than a foot for a tap in.

Not like you Brian, your putting was highly impressive when we played at Woodhall last year.

ps.....get well soon mate

It depends. Anything inside 15 feet providing there are no huge huge breaks or slopes to negotiate and I'll be thinking about making it. Outside of that I'll try and make it and will certainly be trying to get the ball past the hole and giving it a chance to go in

Depends how close I am. Anything with 15ft chance for birdie. Otherwise I will focus more on the pace to ensure I get a par
I would add if it is up or down hill. 15 foot downhill on our last hole is a lag putt. 20 foot putt up hill is a birdie chance. I try and drop the ball in the hole, rather than ram it in, so generally hit all putts at lag pace.
