When you hit a Green in Regulation, do you think "great, a chance for a birdie" or "great, two putts for par"? I'm in the latter camp and think i need to toughen up!

Depends how close I am. Anything with 15ft chance for birdie. Otherwise I will focus more on the pace to ensure I get a par

Agreed.
Over about 15 feet the chances of holing decrease dramatically.
Obviously you're trying to hole it but, unless you need the birdie for a half or similar, there's little point in trying for the birdie and racing the putt 6 feet past.
Try to hole it but aim to be as close as possible if you miss.
Inside 15 and I'm focussing on the birdie.

If I get on the green I immediately think I'm in for a birdie no matter the shot. If not I'm knocking it as close as possible. Been working well so far.

Yeah inside 10ft and I'm disappointed if i don't take the opportunity for a rare birdie (they don't come along that often) but over that I'm trying to putt out but happy with par as a good result

Every putt on the green is one I'm looking to hole

If I'm on in reg then birdie - below reg then eagle and above reg then a par

Its very rare I don't think birdie, and its rare lately that I get one, although I have a run at all of them... my old faithful is on the naughty step, and another blade is in the bag.

If I make GIR I always go for the birdie though it does depend on the week. Last week the putter was red hot, I was dropping single putts from all over the green, that or leaving them with a tap in. Other weeks though I may as well be putting with half brick tied to a broom shank or that's the way it feels.

If I don't have to think about pace I'm thinking birdie. If pace isn't automatic I'm happy with par.

The distance where one turns into the other can change depending on the green and slopes between ball and hole.

If it's teetering on the edge of the cup, I'm looking at a possible birdie . . . otherwise it could be several tentative prods.
