Keith Lasley - thug

Not a big footie fan but Lasley is an absolute animal who should be banned for life after his attempted murber on Aberdeen's 18 year old midfield Fraser Fyvie.

Considering Lasley is just back from a 4 game ban for another straight red I hope they throw him out of football. Scumy cowardly tackle.

Motherwell fans should be ashamed of themselves watching leg breakers like him week in week out.

Fraser Fyvie is a promising young talent and he's already come back from one bad injury; hope this one isn't too bad.

Is he a thug, or is his judgement skewed and overly competitive?

The reason I pose the question is I used to play with a guy who was softly spoken and a small gentle guy... off the pitch. He wasn't deliberately dirty or cynical but he commited himself to every tackle, even the ones he wasn't going to win, and was often either in the Ref's book or on the treatment table due to recklessness.

Without a doubt a bad tackle, and the straight red was well and truly justified. But is he a dirty player or just guilty of poor judgement?

Ain't seen the tackle and to be honest I don't have to because the picture speaks a thousand words. It was a stupid tackle by an aging player in the twilight of his career. Lasley was never a nasty player when he was younger but in recent years he has become a liability, a dud and a fud. I would like to see him susended until the Aberdeen player makes his return, in fact I would also make Lasley pay half of his wage to the player until such a date when he is fit to play again.

AL, I will also have great love and respect for Lennon. He was my favourite Beatle.
