Keef,

played Lord Irwin at Temple Newsham on Friday, think you usually play Lady Dorothy?

Following a PB at Rounday (103) a week ago I went into Friday full of confidance and shot 126 :o My tee shots were awful. I'd have been sub 110 if I hadn't shot any 3 off the tees

I should have parred the par 3 7th but left my putt on the lip.

Hit my longest ever drive on number 16 (the very very down hill par 5) greened my second shot and left my birdie putt on the lip too.

The hills at that place continue to kill me, but did like the track. Just a shame there is no course plan on the card or hole numbers on the tees!

It's a cracking course for the money, isn't it? That 16th is a silly par 5 though. It's a drive and an 8 or 9 iron in normal conditions.
Drive and an 8 iron for me on Friday.

It was almost like a links course in parts!

I've still to play the top course Spoff!

Need someone who has played it to show me round, played the bottom course about 50 times now though! lol

I've been told of various people that the top course is the tougher of the two, that said, neither of them are particularly easy!

Last summer since I played Lady Dot, but would say Irwin is harder.

We managed to get round all 18 holes in order, but looks like someone was playing silly beggers.

Only one tee had a number and that was no 13, but said 15!!

I'll happily do that, mate. Played it many many times.
