I cant wait to see her box again. And the atmosphere 10,000 Irish fans in the stadium. Definitely the highlight of the boxing for me so far. Oh and i cant believe they called her British. First the mistake with the Koreans & now the Irish. Hahahaha

AND BEFORE ANYONE STARTS. THIS IS NOT AN " ANTI ENGLISH " THREAD. SO DON'T MAKE IT ONE..........
 
She is world class and probably one of the best supported amateur sports starts in the world. As a four time world champion at her weight she is well deserving of her chance to showcase her talents on a world stage.

Again this is not an anti British thing but it was funny to see the reaction to The Daily Telegraph calling her british in the paper. twitter nearly went into melt down

If you read further on in the article the Aussies do a good job at annoying the The Irish...

That's nearly as funny a boo boo as putting the pictures of the Dutch show jumping team with bronze medals on the front page of the express...

Some press folk should be getting their knuckles rapped.
 
BEJAPERS BEGORRA arent we geting our underpants in a tizzy over small thing now , banks ruin the country , our insurance policys go up because of quinnhealth care , we pay levys on roadlights , footpaths & council waste disposal even if you dont have any of them, we have high unemployment , poor health care, bunch of clowns in the dail (thats parliment for the real Brits ha ) & we go off on one about a newspaper article ..

As for Katie , she is only doing what she has done for years now , maybe a shock to some of the world but not us British ;)boxing fans

To beat the champ the way she did, was nothing short of amazing. :D
 
I expect Katie Taylor is mildly amused, but basically couldn't care less about all this kerfuffle and is mostly focusing on knocking seven bells out of Ochigava, which I sincerely hope she does.
 
Ethan i couldn't careless if they call her british, i though it was funny. I personally hope she goes all the way, after beating the champ yesterday, i will be supporting her all the way to gold......
 
Not exactly a great fight but kudos to her for rising to the hype and making that gold for Ireland. I did think the other fight was a lot better.
 
Count me in as a dinosaur as well, women have the wrong things in the hitting area for boxing.
When I accidently knock my missus in the 'wrong area' she says it is like a man being hit in the nether regions.
