Just went to pick up a G15 3 Wood which has replaced my unusable* Nike Machspeed Black driver via a seller on Gumtree.
Contacted him weeks ago and told him I was interested, but being a disciplined man (read: man with a wife getting angrier by the minute by me cluttering up her house with unwanted clubs) I said I'd have to sell the Nike driver first, which finally I did.
Went and picked it up today. Result! Can't wait to hit it. If it's anything like my 5 wood G10 then I'll be delighted.
Really nice guy as it turns out and we got talking (us golfers love to prattle on) and he mentioned a local store called Kane Golf. He had had a problem with slicing a driver until he bought a custom fitted "Big Easy" offset driver which came with a 30 day "straighter and longer" guarantee when it was purchased.
As his handicap lowered, he moved on to a Taylormade driver and to cut a long story short, he gave me his Big Easy driver FOR FREE!!! Couldn't believe my luck. Lovely fella.

Anyway, to move this piece along, I was really interested in the bold strategy of Kane Golf offering such a guarantee, so much so that I phoned the owner. Really nice guy and really knowledgeable about club manufacturing and golf in general. His claims are very bold and is happy to go head-to-head with TM, Ping, Calloway et al when it comes to fairway woods, irons and rescues and expects BETTER results in terms of distance and accuracy due to the quality of materials used. Magazine articles back up his claims.
Very interesting stuff and I would like to hear from anyone who has dealt with this company before.
I will be sure to post a review about the driver and if results are good (I'm realistic in my expectations, especially considering I'm very new to the game), I will be sure to pop along to purchase a 7 wood from Kane.
*30-60 yard slice every time, sounds like a shotgun at the range and generally a tool for embarrassment.
