Watching the re-run of yesterdays AT&T, and before every putt Rose tucks the chest of his tshirt under his left arm. Isnt this building a stance, and therefore cheating?

Looks like its working though, he has holed a few crackers for par!

The guy who was commentating was saying he does it to stay connected,so that he uses his arms and shoulders.

Apparently it keeps keeps the elbows close to the torso so that the upper body moves as one unit....It stops him being wristy with the putter......His coach has him doing it.....

Don't see this as a problem - like adjusting your tackle before driving!!

He seems to like his new Ghost putter though... Saw one in a shop recently and I really didn't like it. But its working for him - the RC awaits if he keeps this form up.

Interesting, so does that mean I could play shots with a towel under my arms to keep me connected during my swing. I always thought that would be against the rules? Isn't using your shirt the same thing?

But you aint wearing a towel, so it is not part of your attire.

Well clearly. So is the rule if it's part of your attire you can use it to aid your swing? So I could put my baseball cap under my left arm during my swing?

I'm not being awkward or clever I'm just trying to understand what is allowed and I thought what Rose did was illegal as it's effectively an aid to his swing?

His shirt is already there, he's just adjusting it somewhat. It obviously isn't cheating, or one of the many officials at the last three tournaments (that's all i've noticed him doing it in, as he didn't really get much camera time before the memorial!) would have said something, non?

I've been trying this at the club for about a week and it does seem to help. All it does is help you notice if you're using your arms too much, as your shirt will go loose. My putting definitely seems better than it was. I never had my arms tucked in at all before though, so how much is the shirt itself is not clear, either way, I'm three putting MUCH less now than I was.

Anyone know what putter he was using. I am a big fan of Taylormade putters and did not recognise it, it was bright white and looked more like an Odyssey in colour

I had a putt with one in the pro shop on Sunday. Its a beautiful looking putter, sits nice, shape is nice and a nice weight.

BUT ITS WHITE! ITS LIKE LOOKING DOWN ON A MELTED MARSHMALLOW ON THE END OF A STICK!

White is wrong for a putter head. Wrong, so wrong!
