Happened to me last year. Was playing the Addington Court course near Croydon and it had a burnt out car on the 10th.
Thats awful, someone hasn't replaced the flag correctly to the right of the picture.

something similar happened at a club i used to be a member of after a party night at the club. Car park up the hill from the clubhouse and course, story was rumoured that someone got into their car drunk, put it in first not reverse, when through a little picket fence, rolled down a big bank and onto the 18th green, luckily didnt do much damage to the green, did far more to the car lol

Courtesy of Google Maps I think I've worked out how the car got there.
The practice putting green is directly at the end of the approach road to the club and has 4 or 5 steps up to it, my guess is that the car was going at some speed (no idea as to why) and hit the steps, launching it into the air and then landing on the putting green.
