Not the latter, anyone can do that. I'm not classed as essential but have worked throughout.Serious question then. What does being an essential worker mean in terms of the lockdown? Does it mean they don't have to queue for supermarkets, can travel further or can just keep working?
I’m finding certain companies won’t deal with you unless youre an “essential worker”, which although I repair the things that wash your clothes, cook your food or keep your food safe and cool doesn’t include me according to some companies.Serious question then. I'm obviously not...![]()
It would have been had I bought a slightly newer one.....Is your car keyless now then?

As a key worker my time during lock down was much like my normal
I had a letter printed by my employer to show the police if stopped to say this person is a key worker call this number to confirm.
Supermarket wise there was no queue jumping but I never tried as I did click and collects
Was able to book my car in for a service as they were working for key workers only
The main difference for me was that because so many people were shielding at work instead of there being one or two overtime shifts a month going it was that per day. So I worked 3 extra weeks worth of shifts around my own shifts to keep the room going.
Key workers could also have their kids at schools however mine is too young so my wife is off work as she is a key worker but pregnant so they told her no coming in and basically work from home.
Been a strange few months seeing everything slowly go to ghost town then back to busy
Yeah that has been weird. As my office overlooks the high street I have seen it go from me being the only person walking down the street pretty much all day to today being a relatively busy market day.
What I will say is that I am feeling the strain a bit now as we have been working with reduced numbers and support staff and, having changed jobs, I have not had a day off since November last year and have little chance of taking one until we can bring more staff back from Furlough.
