I got my new clubs last Monday, played 18 on Tuesday, 9 on Weds, been back in work since. I was already impressed with the performance of the new sticks, but after returning from the range this evening, I can't wait to get back on the course, this weekend sees the return of summer tee's at my course !!!!

After listening to what the Pro said about my grip and stance during my fitting session, my game and ball striking has improved hugely.

I took the PW, GW, 7 iron, Baffler and Driver. I was happy with about 90% of the shots I hit with the irons and Baffler, although my driving was a bit slicey.

Either the shop pro know's what he's talking about, or my new clubs are magic, or maybe a bit of both !!

Anyway, with a sudden boost of optimism and confidence, I've booked in for my very first lesson next Friday evening. £20 for an hour, I've been told to bring a Wedge, 7 Iron and Baffler. I cannot wait !

I'm pretty sure you'll be amazed at how quickly a pro can spot errors and how quickly he can fix them. Make sure though that if he gets too technical or your don't understand what he trying to get you to do that you get him explain it so you understand. That way it will be easier to remember and for you to practice once the lesson finishes

New bats, lessons, things must be going well! £20 for an hour is good value though.

You'll really enjoy it. But don't be surprised if your overall performance on the course drops off a little whilst the changes make their way from the range to the course.

I always over think my swing on the course after a lesson and it gets worse than it already is.

I just keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end.

Good luck and enjoy.

Mono, if you have a lesson, ask the pro to check your posture at address and compare it your posture at the top of your backswing

Booked myself a course of lessons last week. 5 at £20 per half hour.

Had the first yesterday.

Basically the pro says I'm almost perfect to the top of my swing. He said if he didn't know better he'd say based on that he'd think I was a low single figure handicapper.

Then it all goes wrong :( So everythings good until I actual want to hit the ball. Doh !

I've basically been chopping down on the ball, using my natural strength to hit the ball rather. All arms and shoulders.

So he's got me swinging round my body more and trying to take my arms and shoulders out the swing and just let the body turn do the work.

Was really awkward and unnatural to me at first but after 30 mins lesson and 30 mins after on the range my slight fade has now turned into a nice little draw :)

Well pleased.

I've lost a little distance as I'm not trying to put any 'power' into the swing yet, but not much, maybe 10 yards off my 6 iron.

I'm off for a round in a few mins. Not expecting much score wise, until I can bed this change in.

I am having problems too in my lessons. Can't get the timing right in the down-swing. My pro, who knows my game, cannot understand why I have got so erratic. Time to calm down and take it slowly.

Finally got around to my 2nd lesson last week (£25 for 30 mins) - After a cracking 1st lesson (posture, stance, grip) and leaving full of confidence, everything fell apart over the next few weeks. Result of the 2nd lesson was to get me starting the down swing with my hips rather than my arms - caused me to start snatching at things though, but when it did come together, it came together. With a few hours to myself Saturday I went down the local muni and played 9. Carded a very disappointing 61 (par36), inclusing a 10 on the 1st and an 11 on the 9th (who put those brooks there) - could tell nothing felt right all day - back to the range on sunday and kept trying to drill the new rhythm in - was on fire with my 8, 9 and wedge. More practice and more lessons required.....
