Hello,
My name is Ross...and I have an addiction;...GOLF!!!!!!

I thought I'd introduce myself on here for my first post. My name is Ross, from sunny Bedford, and I am a member of Mowsbury Golf Course which is also in Bedford.
I've been playing golf properly for about just over a year, after being a motorcyclist and having one crash too many.

I am very much addicted to golf, and started the year off with an 18 handicap which is now down to 14.5. I am battling hard and practicing as much as possible in the hope to be off single figures by the end of next year.

Any advice, tips or general chat would be very welcome.
Once again hello to you all!!!!

I'm currently going through a lot of posts now.

How did I not join this forum sooner? Looks like an amazing place for everything golf, and more.

I may have to take you up on that offer, any excuse for a round

A big hi back Ross, helpful guys and remember to have a thick skin at times but it's all good banter. ;)

Hi Ross, welcome to the madhouse.

I've played Mowsbury a couple of times, even thought about joining it as it's only 10 - 12 miles away.

I a member at Wyboston but play everywhere I can so give me a shout some time.

... for every hour you practice your long game spend two hours on your short game.

I've played Wyboston a few times also. Mowsbury is a great place to join mainly becaus of the price.

Will take you up on that offer for a round soon!

I'm definately realising that spending my time on the putting green is the way to save shots.

The downside of my course is a lack of short game practice facilities. A bucket in the garden is the best I can do.

Thanks for your advice
