i was 18.8 handicap start of the season 2 week ago now i am playing off 15.0 only sad thing about it is i can no longer play with the great bunch of lads in the rabbit league so i have a new aim this season which is to get to single figures i went out on friday and shot a 77 gross with only having 10 putts on the first 9 holes the best round of golf i have ever played

yeah just slowed myself down a little bit now funny thing is i have not lost any distance just alot straighter hope im the same when my new irons arrive

Good shooting with the 77. Keep that up and you'll get to single figures in no time.

Well done that is pretty impressive. I felt like I took 77 for the first nine yesterday and today

You still planning on taking a break homer? I shot a rubbish score yesterday, although i was striking the ball well. My game just deserted me at times and the course is not in good nick which didn't help, especially the greens.

well done beggsy, wish that could be me.

I went out Saturday afternoon intending just a practice round, trying to sort a few things, however it was busy when I arrived and I was asked if I'd like to join a two-ball at the tee. Only drawback - they were playing the medal. So with no prep, paid my dues, got the stamped card and off we go. Well it didn't start out too badly (after the first) Front 9 wasn't too bad, though they were commenting on how many of my putts skimmed the edge or bounced out of the cup. Then we turned the corner - oh dear!
Woeful, horrible, disasterous, gruesome - any other adjectives you wish. Got the s's second shot, which kept coming back for one then going. Started chasing the game and trying too hard - mistake, and pointless, I was destined for 0.1 by then. Still good partners make up for alot and they kept pointing out the things that were going right.
