Jumbo grips

I have an old-style bullseye putter that I got from a bargain bin. I have just discovered that I can putt left handed with it, although from an odd stance; feet are close together and turned 45 deg toward the hole so I'm putting almost from the side. So far I've only used it on the practice green but lines are pretty good and there is less of a tendency to decelerate. (normal grip is left hand low so no grip change required)

I had been thinking of getting a jumbo grip fitted just to try it out rather than change the grip on my 'regular' putter, but I'm not sure what to expect from it.
