Hall of Famer
Of course it is up to JD. It is his life and he lives it as he sees fit. Nothing wrong with that. However I think whilst he may get some invites initially on the European Tour, too many missed cuts will see these dry up as sponsors want value for money and that means having their draw acts there for the weekend. Also, another high publicity incident, whether provoked or not will be the end golf wise for JD as he will simply be seen as damaged goods.
I think he still has a place in golf and personally I'd love to see him have a season on the Nationwide tour under "less" pressure (the papers will be all over him all season) where the level of competition may not be quite as demaninding and he can get use to making cuts, earning a few dollars and maybe getting his full tour card back by rights.
