Good on him, the press have been laying into him even before a ball’s kicked. Clearly, Kinnear will not knuckle down to the politically correct, do gooders or the keyboard football experts. I hope Newcastle play really well.

Funny how the headlines are about his amount of swear words, not about what he was actually saying.

As Barry Fry said on Talksport yesterday...." If the Newcastle players had shown half the passion Joe has shown in the 5 mins he's been there, they'd be mid-table !!! "

Indeed and this is why football in this country is destined to remain in the international doldrums indefinitely.

Amusing as it was to hear a bunch of sports hacks being told to f**k off, the idea that being a big shouty 'passionate' man is in anyway relevant in sports management is precisely why we end up with the England team we have. It comes as no surprise that Barry Fry agreed with him.

Until the idiots that play football in this country realise that 'shouting', 'passion' and 'big hearts' (e.g. John Terry) do not compensate for slowness of body and mind, technical incompetence and the need to be carried by superior foreign team mates (e.g. John Terry), England will never have players with brains that need coaching and not 70s style 'man-management'.

That said, it does prove that swearing is boh big and clever. ;)
