Well first one tomorrow and another one on Wednesday. Two busy days!

Both are for quality manager jobs, my first ever management interviews!

Been preparing hard since Saturday, filling in answer templates for competency based questions, ensuring I knew why I wanted to work for them... the usual questions too.

So I feel now, the night before the first that I am pretty much as close to being prepared as I will be. Thankfully I have done competency based interviews before and I have all my scenarios ready, remembering STAR too!

I have no idea if I will do well, after job hunting for a few weeks I have only got this far with Quality Manager positions, all others I have been told I am overqualified for! You do one job where you were thrown in the deep end and now suddenly that makes you unsuitable for a lot of roles!

Well here goes anyway!

I have an 8 page template I made myself for one about 3 years ago, it is pretty comprehensive and worked well.

You can only prepare so much for them, gathering a nice range of experiences that have evidence for different potential questions.

Good luck !!! I work in the recruitment field and can provide you with some interview preparation notes, templates etc but it seems that you have all your bases covered. A lot of CBI stuff is testing you to see if you can think on your feet. They're bound to throw in something out of left field to see how you react. Personally I hate CBIs and a good candidate can almost bluff/act their way through them.

Good luck. You cant beat preparation! Wish i had prepared more when i was asked for my fire fighters interview

"can you give me an example of when you've actively supported equality and diversity at work"
errrrrrrrm! I know where all 28 airbags are located on the new Mercedes and i know at what temperature steel looses its tensile strength!!!!!!!!!!!

They gave me a odd look

Just had one internally and was offered the job and then offered an interview for an external one which I decided to decline to attend. They phoned me up and I've tried to negotiate career promises to even attend the interview, which they're looking into. It feels cheeky as hell!

mind if I ask in what capacity you are in and why you hate CBI's?

never had a CBI or had to used STAR but would happily pay for a couple of private tuition sessions with this lass - mind she does do the slow blink rather spookily well :)

She is like an anti-butch harmon. Why doesn't she even glance at the camera. Is this some pirate copy or something. Odd indeed.

common 'fly on the wall' camera technique to show someone being coached. Watch out for it in 'normal' tv land and you'll see how un-Odd it is:thup:

Career promises received around my training plus they've agreed to let me keep my hand it with the hands on aspect of the job should I ever want to steer away from a career in management. Interview being rearranged for three weeks time. Terrifying as it would mean moving again.
