Jim Furyk

Ha Ha, for all you experts out there, the next time you are at the range just try it, take the club outside the line and drop it inside on the follow through, you will be amazed how much better your strike will be.

John, had a look at your swing, some good stuff going on, but you are needing to rotate your body more on your downswing, get that right shoulder nearer the target.

I know, Divot. Been analysing it in detail for ages. Just can't get the crucial move on a repeating basis. Still getting trapped. Need more room. Working on it, trust me.

You may well laugh.......my pro gave me a drill once that invloved sticking a club shaft in the ground that mirrors the shaft at address....you swing the club outside this shaft on the way up, then inside on the way down. Enough of this and anyone would end up looking like poor Jim.
He doesn't care though (one presumes) and anyone who can re-route the club back onto plane (when it's so far off!)deserves many riches.

when will we learn that golf is an idividual sport, what one person does doesn't mean the others are wrong because they don't do it the same way. Yes the fundamentals of the golf swing gives you a platform to work with but little personnal techniques or something that makes you feel more confident or comfortable may kick in, i say if it works stick with it

Or better still, Divot. Getting lessons from the guy who coached Lloyd. Unfortunately, I don't have his natural talent. Shame that. Even 10% would be nice.

Jim Furyk's swing - "A man trying to kill a snake with an axe in a phone box."

:D :D :D Nearly fell off my chair- cracker!

There's another bloke out there with a bit of an ideosyncratic swing that I noticed on The Open coverage last year(I think). Believe the lad is either of south east asian or Indian origin. Makes you want to wince just watching it but fair do's he's there and i'm not. Still raises a chuckle though.

I bet weve all seen a whole host of crimes against the Great Game on the first tee. There's one or two I simply don't have the breadth of vocabulary to even begin describing.

This from a bloke that that looks like Minty from Eastenders trying to sweep a buffalo off the tee with a pugil stick on a infatable bed in a fast moving stream

:(

The main thing in an swing, Furyk, Darcy Hogan, Woods is that at point of impact the clubhead is square to the target.

Furyks swing is not as ungainly as it was when he first came on tour.

He's one of the most consistent guys on tour, always seems to be near the top of the leaderboard come Sunday. Never seems to make that final push to win though.

His brother (or is it his father?) is a top golf coach, I always wondered how people would feel going to "a Furyk" for golf coaching!!
