I've finally realised my golf potenial

The single figure HC goal, is a thing of the past. That was a pipe dream a daft goal I set myself, in conversation with Bill Elliot at the end of H4H 2013, to be in single figures by H4H 2014. The realisation is that then and now to get to single figures would require way more practice than I can possibly commit to, work, family and other stuff all hampers that goal, unless of course I happen to win the lottery, in which case every day would be a golfing day, somewhere hot.

The single figure goal, is way behind me now, I would just like to play consistent steady golf, doesn't matter what HC I am.

Just start going out to enjoy yourself, have fun, and smile on the course then Dave.
That's always a good start.......
Play within yourself ( defo slow that 110% swing down a notch )
Learn to play to your current handicap 1st, ie , forget pars/birdies, try to bogey the course, and I'm sure you will achieve MORE Pars......rather than pushing for pars (when you have shots) and racking up doubles/trebles

I'm currently at my highest handicap in last 6years, due to redundancy (2yrs ago) , change of job, injury......many things........golf is no longer my 1st thought.......but after my injury, I'm just happy to be playing again, albeit not at same consistent level.
So, as long I'm still getting any kind of enjoyment, I will keep playing, my handicap is DEFENITELY NOT something I care, nor worry about, anymore

I would care to wager ( as garyinderry posted elsewhere ) that if somebody like Bri the pensioner (wise man) Hobbit, was to caddie for you in just 1 round, you would learn so much, and save many shots

Chin up Dave
It's only a game mate.........and NOT our day job

I would have you as a partner any day mate.
That 6 iron to the 10th at Blackmoor to 4ft was a golf shot.
Has has been said enjoy your golf and your handicap will fall,no expectations
just playing.

ditto on that one PJ. Waldorf and Stadler, Dave and Stu, are brilliant company. Their banter is immense. Looking forward to Woodhall with them in July!! The Saturday night in Lincoln will be biblical...

Yep fully agree - had a great day with Dave on the Monday and then Stu was great despite th southern weather getting to him :D both great company on the night out also

Cheers fellas, looking forward to H4H this year and Woodhall will be good, not sure the round on the Sunday will be up to much, if the night out before is as biblical as suggested.

Never give up on a dream. I'm further away than ever from single figures but will refuse to believe I'll not get there. You can do it.
