Right.
As some may know from a previous post iv been caught in a dilemma between Ping and Cobra.
Anyhooooooo i went back today and hit some more balls with the Pings (i15's) with the result that they've been ordered...

I hit everything with a nice soft draw. I was carrying the 7 iron 158 yrds and my ball speed was averaging i think about 111 mph from what i remember. The dispersion was also very good.
Im prone to hitting some left to right balls at times with longer clubs but i just couldnt seem to do it with these....Everything was right to left.I know that i cant really read into it alot but i came away alot more confident in my ability to hit a ball well.

I was fitted for Ping Red Dot which is .75 degrees flat with +1/32" gold grips.
I also had better results with the stiff AWT shaft....

I have been working on a few swing issues so maybe these are starting to settle....

Thanks James something must be working pal
And there still aint a faint smell of wee off me

Cheers steve....Im on the Ribena here and pringles....Im a non drinker

The I15's were back out on test today from the pro shop and behaved at the range. Hopefully the rain will stop and I can hit them at the practice ground off grass tomorrow and then get to play a game with them next weekend. At the moment they are a joy to hit. I'm tempted to take a few of my TP's with me too tomorrow and test the distances and dispersion between the two

Hi kid, note my sig, tried new Cobras all season but reckon I lost a fair distance so glad I kept my Mizzys as a backup. Get along great with the woods though. ;)

They are sweet Homer.....I couldnt get over the difference between them and my own S2's......I always new i had a quick enough swing and i thought that maving back to Reg shafts would help me slow it down but the Pings now have stiff shafts and i hit them so much better.
It may be part due to the CF and the Swing changes that im at but something definately clicked.

I dare say that I probably wouldn't have changed clubs during a swing change but provided you were putting your best 'new' swings on them when you tried them then they should be OK.

Good thing with Pings is that you can get the lofts/lies adjusted for free, I think.

The Cobra's were kind of an impulse buy and a stop gap....

Hopefully its a good sign of things to come. ;)
