So if a discussion about other non fictional literature and its followers, for example Harry potter or the hobbit broke out into a "LOTR is silly", "Harry potter is a tool" discussion it would be closed ?

I'd be surprised if you find many people who actually think Potter is real - methinks there are a few million more who believe the Bible is true. Your opinion is that it's a work of fiction - many don't agree with that. Can their opinions not be tolerated?

As long as we are able to voice our non religious or anti religious views as strongly as they are able to voice their religious views. Equality for all and those who are offended need to get off their high horse and stop being self centered.
If a comment was directed at someone as an insult, like justones in the divot thread, that's not nice. But if he was generalizing and saying that's no one has a good idea or all people over 6foot tall have no good ideas this should not be deemed offensive.
I'm more offended people are offended.
