I'm officially Mizuno's whipping boy.

The R11 is officially out of the bag and has been replaced by the JPX. Tested at the range last night (always a bit dodgy with the head taped up) and went ok and demo'd it against the MP630 and callawy Diablo edge today at AG.

Didnt get on with the Callaway, felt dead and the shaft was fairly meh.

Loved the Fubuki shaft in the 9 degree 630 and it went pretty well when I caught it but it sat obviously open at address with it's smaller head and I know I wouldn't be comfortable relying on it when I get on the tee. And the 9 degree loft is a bit strong if I catch one with some side spin!

Which left the JPX. Slightly higher loft at 10.5 so I may lose a few yards as I have a high ball flight Anyway, but if it means I'm on or near the short stuff more often than not, I'll take it. I've demo'd it 3 separate times and not one destructive wayward slice out of the lot - around 50+ balls. (plenty of duffs and tops though :D) I seem to get on well with the shaft as my 3 wood and hybrid are both great.

I hve to admit though, I do feel a bit of a knob at handicap of 19 having an entire bag of Mizuno!

You've always been a Mizuno fanboy though Aztec and that R11 was just messing up your bag. Will have to demo the JPX as I really cannot get on with the R11 and going back to an old burner today I couldn't miss. Do you find the blue on the head a little off putting looking down?.

Nice one, but unless your sig is out of date I spy an interloper.

What you need is one of these...

Go on you know it makes sense.

Nope, I love the colour! It's a dark blue so it's not off putting at all.

Well done Aztec, I know what you mean about that Fubuki shaft on the MP630, I had to get 10.5 as that's all I could find and it's quite a change from the 8.5* I've gamed for the last 5 yrs but as you rightly say, if I'm 240 on the fairway that's better than 260 in the bundai!

Nothing wrong with all mizuno, it's a class and quality manufacturer.

I am slowly heading the same way. Tried my new JPX 3 wood today and what a club that is. Nice compact head, easy to hit, goes a mile. Since I bought the JPX driver I have added the hybrid and 3 wood and if I had the cash I suspect that the whole bag would be JPX by now.

Do you have a mizuno visor and them hideous shoes to match aswell aztecs?

Get that Nike rubbish putter out of the bag, replace it with a Mizzy one - then you'll be a proper gear Tart!

Hope they all go splendidly!

Snap

I have had the JPX in the bag for 6 months now and it is still going as well as the day I bought it. Not even tempted to try any other drivers at the moment. Hopefully yours will go just as well, it is damned hard not to hit the ball straightish with it.

I'm sure I'll find a way! :D
