Is this just standard wear and tear on golf shoes or possible warranty?

I've got some Ecco GTX golf shoes in which the upper has come away from the sole on both shoes - is this wear and tear or is it a possible warranty? I know they are reasonably old but they had limited winter use and have had virtually no use recently.

5yrs but it's not the age it's given the amount of use they've had which is very limited considering I've 2 pairs of Ecco for summer and Footjoy Aqualite and DNA for winter so they are lucky if they've had 3 or 4rounds in the last 3 years.

Haha ... you must have an epic sense of humour to try a warranty claim on golf shoes (any shoes, actually) after five years.

I salute you, sir.

Why so many pairs ?
It depends where they have been stored for FIVE YEARS.
If it's in the garage sub zero in winter then the glue will fail .
In the house with shoe trees polished and looked after I still dought if a warranty claim will be upheld..
But it's worth a shot good luck.

I do indeed have an epic sense of humour 😉

They were stored with shoe trees in the airing cupboard but maybe the heat caused the glue to fail...

Your problem is that you have absolutely no proof of how many times you have or haven't worn them. The only fact is that they are 5 years old, so you'll never get a warranty pay out for that.

He has, it will be the outside of the sole unit, if they've been worn that little then it will show there.
