I just heard a large woooshing sound and a rumble which was the snow falling off the roof so clearly the temperature is rising.

craw, last time i heard the snow falling off the roof, the damned gutter came off as well! £180 later!

I think it would cost me a hell of a lot more than that as I live in a conservation village and as such have cast iron guttering and drainpipes!

Quite happy playing with my new knob until March/April

Just an idea....why don't you mount the knob with an engraved plaque and present it as an award to be played for at the GM meets.

We could call it "knob of the year" award or something similar. Could be awarded to the biggest knob at each meet.
