Different companies have different types of contract. Ping like a 14 club contract, TM usually like woods and irons and Mizuno are OK with irons only. Tiger had a Nike bag and Nike head covers for a couple of years without a single Nike club in the bag.
TM also have another sleight of hand, where the clubs they market to retail and the ones they provide to Tour players are different, sometimes majorly so. There are different sized heads available for the RBZ and R11S woods for Tour and elite amateur players, and different grinds of the irons. Also, graphite shafts in Tour players bags will be painted in TM colours even if they are not available to retail, so the punter is fooled into thinking that Retief, Darren and the boys are using clubs similar to the ones they can buy. They really aren't. Titleist, Mizuno and other leading brands don't do this nearly as much.
