Is Luke using Mizuno woods now or is it just headcovers on TM woods?

Love that Tour Bag!!!

I know he uses a CLK hybrid, but thought I saw a picture of him with an RBZ driver in the paper?

I'm open to being corrected though

Due to his contract with Mizuno he has to cover up his TM woods / driver with Mizuno headcovers. This has been the case for some time now.

Ahh I see, I know he used TM woods but did not know about the headcovers, I had guessed that he had a separate woods deal as I had seen the heads but not the bag.

Does he have to pay for the use of TM clubs or does he have some sort of sponsorship from them as well?

I'd have thought that Mizuno would be embarrassed that their main ambassador was using a rival brand's woods and develop their own with plenty of input from Luke.

Didnt know that he used Tm woods!!!

Luckily he doesnt have OCD otherwise it would be doing his nut in...lol

Pretty common I think.Usually the deal is to use irons only...same applies to putters, people use various ones...Luke uses an odyssey iirc.

He'll more than likely get a fee from TM to use them all be it a small fee but he will not be paying TM a coin.

I heard that when TM brought out the R11, they were paying $500 to each player for each round they used it, not massive for the top boys, but pretty significant money for the low ranked guys...especially if you make the weekend.

That's a good point about the putter. I just find it strange that a company of Mizuno's quality don't produce woods & drivers that Luke is happy to use.

He obviously likes his set up. Got him to world #1 and all that.

If it ain't broke............................

Apparently TM pay the highest amount when people use their drivers. A lot of the pros don't actually have a specific driver contract.
