Mornin,

Iv been practicing my putting lately at least 4 hours a week on our local range with my 2.5 yr old son.....He had my head wrecked so i ended up buying him a putter and had it cut down to fit him....He loves going with me.......

Iv changed the grip on my own putter to a Tiger Shark grip...Its slightly smaller than the 2 thumb putter grip but its been great to use on my mallet...Much more stable and consistant.
Anyhoo even though i scratced 5 holes the weekend i had 8 pars..for 32 points..I 2 putted all these greens.......Im thinking the practice is paying off.......After my rounds each weekend now i cant wait for my putting nights to come about....I happily spend 2 hours a night just hitting putts from all distances with varied breaks ..I get a great buzz from it......I dont go until 8 in the evening as i dont finish work till six(on hols at the moment) But its nice to be able to spend time with the small man and also get great practice in........

I only spend an hour at the range with short irons and wedges too once a week......Its going to come i can feel a cut happening soon i hope.

If it is I'm just as weird as you. I used to walk up to a green and worry about 3 putting but I've learned to think about it differently. You can't score well without putting well. You can get away with iffy drives or iffy approaches but iffy putting will kill you every time. I'm not saying you have to enjoy putting to putt well, you just can't be scared of it. Carry on enjoying kid2, it can only make you better.

Couldn't agree more. I know of a guy who's played golf for donkeys years and always thought he was just a bad putter. One of those things in life.
He found a new way of putting and now after all these years, he now believes he can putt.

Happy days :)

Not weird at all. If you can putt well and with confidence it is going to make a huge difference throughout the bag. Confidence feeds confidence and if you can stand there and know that you'll make that 3 foot er for par it'll give you so much belief to give the putts a good run for their money and not be short. If you can chip well too then it allows you to attack more happy in your ability to get up and down.

Well im more a fan of a chip and run rather than a chip and check....I can never get enough spin to stop it......If iv got a 7-PW in my hand from chipping distance my aim always is to try and hole it....That way my focus narrows and i feel more consistent
