I had just moved to Aylesbury from NW london so knew that joining would give me a chance to meet some locals.

Its also 500yds from my house, so nice to be able to walk there in the summer and have a few beers afterwards.

Good course with good greens and not much snobbery, which is all I was after.

yes seems we all have our own reasons, i joined mine as it was close to home but main reason was , that due to me living in germany , it had quite a lot of english speaking members, but it also had a healthy local membership, it plays a good number of comps, a stableford every wednesday from april through to oct , and a good sprinkling of medals on the week ends, cost is fair 40 a month, no club pro which is a minus , but does have a flood lit range, plus there are 2 championship courses about 30 mins away that i treat myself too a couple of times a month, so all in all a good comprimise at moment,

looking for a good club to join in the north east area upon my return to uk.
