Irons: black club heads

Had a look at various sets in American golf and they look great but do they stay that way or do they wear down to shiny metal underneath?

The black wears off, i will not buy black faced clubs for that reason

At least chrome finish you can keep looking nice for when you trade in etc

Yep they get shiney underneath. Got 2 x black head MD wedges, great clubs but my well used 58deg is pretty silver on teh underside now
