Iron Shaft does it affect

Can the iron shaft affect your shot shape??

I have standard Uniflex shafts in my irons and have been taking lessons but the ball still seems to go right in a fade. At start I always played straight and either with slight draw.

Could it be my shafts that could be the problem and not my swing?
