Just wondered if anyone has swapped from their trusty Blackberry to iPhone at all ?

I work for myself, and love the email capability of my Blackberry, and the fact that I can carry on working from it when i'm out walking the dog etc, but as I'm a total Apple convert these days (iMac & iPad), i'm sorely tempted to try an iPhone 4S, - as its apparently a 'Push' email setup too.

I know Battery life will be shite in comparison, but there is much about the iPhones I really like, so just keen on peeps opinions pls ?

How did you get used to the touch keypad etc ?

thx all :-)

strictly iphone4 for me. I wont touch a blackberry, had a fiddle on my mates ones and really cant get along with them.

To be honest the iphone felt strange at first as it was my first touch screen phone but i love it to bits now and dont have any problems with it at all for sending messages or emails, also the spell correct it a massive help to me lol

Never owned a blackberry although the wife had one and I played about with it quite a bit, therefore probably not equipped to compare the two......but I love my iphone :o Email facility on it is excellent although you can't open some attachments (pdf's)...don't know if you can with a BB. Battery life is fine, I charge mine at night while I sleep and it lasts the whole day (I use it quite a lot). Also I got used to the touch screen no probs, had Sony Ericssons for years before and thought I might struggle but after a few days no problem. I've got a kinda hard rubber case from Amazon and it has withstood a few falls etc so quite sturdy!

You would struggle to get me away from an iPhone now i think.

Had a few Blackberrys and decided to give in to the Apple world. Just wanted to get some fun out of a phone rather than work work work. However, word of caution Blackberry is king of emails and everyone is playing cathup, including Apple.
The reason is RIM uses there own servers for delivering email whereas the competition often us the service providers own servers .
Took the plunge, now a true convert to Iphone 4S and really like it- Excellent device

I am an iphone convert.... I had blackberry's for years and since HID got a macbook and an ipad we both got a deal at carphone warehouse for a 4s. Emails are the same, the only thing is the bbm messenger, but you can use watsapp instead for that.

Get one, you wont regret changing. You get used to the keypad in time...

my only gripe and its prob more to do with how i set it up but, when i delete and email off my phone inbox it still stays in my proper email inbox. As i check my phone all the time i keep my inbox tidy but in my proper email i just had to delete 130 bloomin emails

Gonna be the first to say it.
I love my Blackberry. Especially when partnered with the excellent Blackberry playbook tablet.
Great email functionality from both the phone and directly from the tablet.

Plug the tablet into a TV via hdmi, connect the phone and tablet via bluetooth and you can use the phone as a remote control, wireless mouse and keyboard for the playbook. It really makes presentations a doddle.

Blackberry is a tool. Iphone is more of an entertainment device.
Peoples needs differ.

I have a Blackberry for work and an IPhone as my personal phone, iPhone is the better option in my opinion and the touch screen keypad is not an issue.

It's got to be in your set up, it works fine for me both with an exchange server and gmail.

One thing I will say about iPhone over other phones is viewing email attachments is second to none

its a hotmail email addy i use. maybe its just microsoft trying to be awkward with apple

edit :

fixed it now i had my settings as delete from server to never, now canged it to when deleted from inbox. Had to ask the mrs for help :o

Have to set up the odd blackberry for customers and I HATE the keyboard

I have fairly small hands but I just cant do anything as fast as I can on the Iphone

Blackberrys are for girls

:-)

Fragger

Had a blackberry before I got my HTC, If you want it purely for business then I say the email on the blackberry edges it for me, however as an all round phone its gotta be the iPhone hands down

I had several Blackberrys and i think when the iphione 2/3 was out thenh BB definitely had the edge.

I switched to IP4 around 18m ago and cant see me ever going back, its a great piece of equipmenmt and has never klet me down, a mate swears by BB and his 9900 is useless and i think RIM have lost their waya ,ittle bit.

I'll upgrade to the 5 later this year.

Whilst I curse having it at times my blackberry is brilliant for work emails.

I like having separate work and own phones though. Unless there is something big going on at work I don't take my blackberry out with me with the family etc at weekends but have my own phone (Android).

Not sure I would like work to give me an all singing iPhone I could use for everything and have it with me all the time......
