Wife wants a new phone for Xmas, currently has (thinks it's an 6SE) which I believe is no longer supported.
If she moves on from another iPhone what issues are there?
I've done this myself years ago and think it's difficult to transfer data over.

Transferring data is not difficult, either do a backup to the cloud and then update the new phone from that, or new iPhones let you place the 2 phones together and the new one updates via magic (or bluetooth or something!)

As Neilds says, you just sign in to your Apple account on the new one, put the two phones next to each other and the new one just sucks the data (I’m not very techie) from the old one. Quite simple just takes a few minutes.

Yeah they do, it’s just if you’re moving from one system to another, something to do with the backup that IPhone uses, there are ways around it but it takes some reading and setting up.
iPhone to iPhone is automatic, no apps needed. Everything swaps over, no need to over complicate things

I went from an IPhone to a Samsung, iirc it was not much drama, but I swopped back to the iPhone when the contract was up. I couldn’t get on with the phone. But I had an iPad and MacBook and it became a ball ache with the devices not connected.
