Had a txt yesterday to say me iPhone 8 contract is ready for renewal. Nowt wrong with it and it more than does me. Basically it's a camera that doubles up as a phone. When I upgrade Missis T has my old iPhone. Anyway. I am leaning towards sim only deal at the end of August. I Rang EE to see what's what. In essence a lovely woman told me to wait until the end of August or EE will try to have your pants down, but further more. She asked me to shop around looking at third party contracts. Make a note and they will match it. Ironically this is what I did two years ago and ended up telling EE I will go through them.. EE said " we will match it then".
So last night I had a little surf on the WWW. Bloody hell. Fifty odd quid a month to take photos. I mean is there that much differance an a iPhone 8 camera than say an iPhone XR or what ever it is.
Think Tashyboys days of chasing the latest phone and standing in a pub in short trousers watching love island impressing the tarts who are checking me out and having fanny flutters have just come to an abrupt halt.
That aside where does one start nowadays to look at phone contracts.
PS, deffo not having a Huwaeaiii ei Chinese phone as at the moment I am staging a one man protest against China.
Cheers, Tash.

I have a Samsung S7 Edge and my contract, Three, was up in May, around £28 a month, free calls, texts and 8gb. The phone still works well, pictures are great so I went SIM only, Three still for simplicity. I now pay £9 a month, free calls, free texts, 4gb. I barely break 1gb so the drop wont affect me. If your phone works okay then go SIM only.

Gone back to Samsung after a couple of years with an iPhone 7.
My new S10 is a touch large but a cracking phone, plus it's much easier to put dodgy software onto 🤔🤣

My kids always seem to be upgrading their IPhones.
They seem to argue about buying up front or paying monthly for the actual phone.
I have an older IPhone with a Sim only deal - works for me !

I had to get a new phone for work, and went for the Samsung Note 9. This isn’t a contract one and is network free as we are sim only as it works out cheaper. My private number is also sim only, and I use Smarty. (Good price, and rather than rolling over unused data, they reduce the following months bill).
I should have said, my phone is a dual sim version and very much an excellent choice and not the version you get when you’re under contract.

£10pm 2gb of data,unlimited calls & text.

The price of the latest iPhones is crazy.

Sky seem to be the best deals.
