Interesting Iron head History......

I use a set of Cleveland TA-1FF blade irons that I really get on with.I noticed that other sets of the Cleveland TA-1FF blades were different,Basically my irons have TA-1FF stamped into the hosel and the others dont,also they have "Form Forged" stamped into the bottom/back of the blade which my set doesent.I had a quick google search and found a guy selling a set on golf wrx who posted a photo of the exact heads I have,I contacted the guy who told me they were "tour issue prototype" heads.As I bought them off ebay I chased up a few sellers back and noticed one of the sellers of my irons had a lot of Cleveland tour issue stuff for sale.I contacted this seller who confirmed that the heads are indeed prototypes and too boot they were David Howells play set!!.Apparently Howell had them set up with rifle 7.0 shafts and they were then changed for a more user friendly shafts for us less talents.Now Just if a bit of Howells game could rub off on me......

Lovely irons SR, Nice and clean. None of this daft paintwork rubbish. Look after them. Bet you feel proud, eh?
