I have just received my insurance renewal from GolfCare and the premium has jump by 30%. I was paying £30 for the bronze cover but the renewal come back at £40. Typically I got straight on the phone mentioned the word cancel and they dropped it back down again.

I appreciate the idea or opening offers to tempt you in but surely they must realise that people will simply switch from one provider to another and back again. Nonetheless I'm covered again and back on the green stuff this weekend

all insurance companies reckon the majority wont question or be bothered with the hassle of changing, if they increase 900 policies and 10% complain or check, they still have 810 increased policies for doing nothing!

point taken but all in all the call took no more than 3 minutes, there were no all queues and happily no silly questions or bartering. This in mind I'd recommend anyone try it

Good point from the OP. I tend to shop around for all my insurance quotes each year although to be fair my Carrick Neill policy is spot on for my requirements and so I tend to leave that alone once I've checked the cost hasn't jumped. To be fair they have only increased it by £15 over the course of three years and I reackon that is pretty fair
