Insurance advice wanted

Interestingly we've just been informed from next subs year we're going the compulsory insurance route for members, works out as less than £20 a year on top of subs, and I expect only covers the liability side but a bit of piece of mind I guess

We have this within our membership subscription. I still pay £2 p/month though to a third party for theft, damage and even more liability cover thrown in.

With effect from 1st April 2009 members have the benefit of Personal Liability Insurance included within their subscription.

Summary of the cover is as follows:-

Personal Liability

1) Unlimited - in respect of one occurence of bodily injury in respect of UK Road Traffic Act Liability arising out of the use of golf buggies whilst playing golf on a recognised golf course.

2) Up to £5,000,000 in respect of legal liability for bodily injury caused to a third party or damage caused to third party propoerty whilst playing golf on a recognised golf course.

Accidental Damage

Irrespective of legal liability insurers will pay up to £10,000 to make good damage to third party property

Personal Accident

Up to £15,000 in respect of Death, Loss of Limb(s) or Eye(s) or Permanent Total Disablement

Club Subscription Reimbursement

Up to £1,000 following an accident whilst playing golf resulting in the insured being unable to play golf for more than 60 consecutive days

Cover is for members whilst they are playing golf at any golf club in the UK and up to 120 days abroad

Full terms and conditions are available in the Secretary's office

Had used Golf Care in the past. No longer with them as my club is part of the Crown Golf group and insurance cover is given free as part of the annual subscription benefits.
